27th Annual Duke Trauma Conference
The challenges of providing qualtiy trauma care continue. Trauma providers are expected to have advanced knowledge and skills in diagnosis, treatment and on-going management. The goal of Duke University Hospital's Trauma Conference is to present the most current clinical information available about the care of the injured patient. To meet this goal, we have coordinated and outstanding program with faculty who are providing frontline care. This dynamic conference will address curring edge trauma care issues.
Learning Objectives
Discuss critical elements of a trauma patient's experience to enhance healthcare providers' understanding of our patient's needs.
Recognize the application and lessons learned to civilian trauma care in a terrorist event.
Describe characteristics of successful trauma teams and the improtance of assertive communication throughout the continuum of care for the trauma patient.
Describe the challenges in trauma, burn and emergency care from pre-hospital throughout the continuum of care.
