1st Annual Duke Lung Transplant Symposium
The purpose of this symposium is to provide relevant education to health care providers in the lung transplant field regarding research, best practices of peri-operative care, and treatment of potential complications throughout the transplant process.

Identify current practice guidelines in order to provide optimal care to patients undergoing lung transplant.
Identify current research initiatives at Duke surrounding the care of the lung transplant patient.
Identify and discuss risks associated with pre- and post-operative infections, current identification and treatment practices in the lung transplant patient.
Identify and discuss potential complications associated with immunosuppression, infection, rejection, and effective management in the lung transplant patient.
