7th Annual Duke Electrophysilogy Summit: State of the Art Heart Rhythm Care through Collaboration

The overall goal of the activities, co-sponsored by the Heart Rhythm Society, is to enhance learners' knowledge and their competency to incorporate evidence-based updates in their practice. The symposium will focus on the collaborative care of patients with heart rhythm disorders, and will offer sessions specifically for advanced cardiology, primary care and advanced practice providers.
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Select appropriate atrial fibrillation patients for ablation or left atrial appendage exclusion devices
- Identify current and evolving approaches and their limitations for risk stratification of atrial fibrillation patients for thromboembolism, and sage and effective use of novel anticoagulation medications.
- Identify patients who are candidates for leadless pacemakers or subcutaneous defibrillators
- Interpret intra-cardiac device electrograms
- Identify complications from ablations and device implants and patients needing prompt referral to electrophysiologist
