2019 Pediatric Neurology and Developmental Medicine Update Course

The goals of the symposia are:

  1. Enhance the ability of participants in identification, evaluation and care of common and important developmental and neurological disorders in children.
  2. Update participants on front-line advancements and hot topics in general pediatric neurology, neuromuscular disorders, and autoimmune neurology.
  3. Update participants on cuttin-edge developments in epilepsy including special populations, status epilepticus, new medications, surgical management, and corical function localization.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Discuss the updates and evolving guidelines to providers in identification, evaluation care and management of common pediatric neurological disorders and neurodevelopment. 
  2. Delinieate the advancements and controversies in evaluation and management of various of the above disorders.
  3. Describe the advancements and current controversies on epilepsy surgery localization,  antiepileptic drugs, and underlying mechanisms.
