Blending the Blues: Advancing Rural Health Across North Carolina

In North Carolina, 82 out of 100 counties are identified as having a primary care provider shortage, while 59 counties lack primary care, dental, and behavioral health resources. In order to reach our goals for a healthy North Carolina, we must approach our health care system from multiple angles. This Blending the Blues session brings together faculty from multiple institutions across North Carolina to explore ways that we can tackle this interprofessional need together.

Target Audience

Interprofessional heath professions educators including MD, RN, PharmD, Physician Assistant, Social Work, Allied Health, psychologists.

Brainstorm strategies to address rural workforce needs in North Carolina.
