EARLY IDENTIFICATION AND MANAGEMENT OF LUNG AND ESOPHAGEAL CANCER

This educational program is designed to promote collaboration between oncology and primary care health care professionals to promote optimal care of the patient with cancer. Expert speakers from medicine, will guide participants through updates in cancer screening, discussion on the use of interventional radiology in the management of lung cancer, and side effects of immune checkpoint inhibitors in lung and esophageal cancers.

Learning Objectives

• Identify current screening guidelines for lung and esophageal cancer

• Identify the current evidence based management of lung nodules

• Discuss the role of interventional radiology in the management of lung cancer

• Identify and manage pulmonary side effects from immune checkpoint inhibitors

• Identify the current evidence based management of esophageal cancer
