Winter 2020 Friends of Nursing Seminar: Best Practices in Pressure Injury Prevention and Wound Care
The purpose of this session is to provide professional development opportunities for licensed and unlicensed health care professionals with current evidence based practice regarding tools for assessment including types, staging, implications, and wound dressing choices, factors that may delay healing, skin care strategies for prevention and management. There will also be a portion on to enhance licensed and unlicensed health care professionals awareness on Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services quality initiatives and implications for Health Care System.

Learning Objectives
Translate knowledge acquired into practice in relationship to patients within any life trajectory from infancy to geriatrics that present with chronic diseases and trauma by providing pressure injury care and management to those dealing with pressure injuries or at risk.
