1. Appreciate the frequency with which cognitive errors contribute to diagnostic errors in medicine. 

2. Name and describe 12 of the most common cognitive errors and “diagnose” these errors in clinical vignettes.

3. Identify situations in which practitioners are most likely to make cognitive errors.

4. Utilize – and teach – metacognition and cognitive forcing strategies to minimize cognitive errors.
