Healthy Outcomes in Pregnancy with SLE Through Education of Providers (HOP-STEP)
HOP-STEP stands for Healthy Outcomes in Pregnancy with SLE Through Education of Providers. HOP-STEP is a program designed to improve pregnancy planning and management for women with lupus. Ideally, all pregnancies for women with lupus should be planned pregnancies as getting pregnant when lupus is active or when patients are taking medications potentially harmful to a fetus increases the risk of complications. In addition, almost all women with lupus benefit from taking compatible medications to control their disease during pregnancy.
There are three CMEs available to assist providers in guiding their patients with SLE:
1. Pregnancy Planning and Lupus: Transforming Conversations
2. Contraception for Woman with Lupus
3. Medications, Lupus, and Pregnancy
