Objectives:
- Understand the basics about the tumor microenvironment, immunosurveillance and immune checkpoint blockade
- Understand the definition of immune related adverse events and the most common systems affected
- Know the most common rheumatic immune related adverse events
- Learn the main classifications of patients referred to the Duke rheum-oncology clinic
- Become familiar with the existing literature regarding patients who experience immune related adverse events, autoantibodies, and cancer related outcomes
- Learn the approach to take with patients who have pre-existing autoimmune disease who have advanced cancer in need of immune checkpoint blockade
