Part 3 of the course is an evaluation of learner's didactic knowledge and an optional hands-on session with a superuser

- Simulate circuit build and prime
- Simulate blood collection
- Simulate storage
- Simulate reinfusion
After completing this course, the learner should be able to:
- Locate and review the on-line policy and procedures
- Perform all necessary equipment assembly, priming, operation, and troubleshooting of the ANH setup
- The ability to calculate estimated blood volume to be removed
- Review proper steps and procedures for collecting, storing, and returning blood
- Understand the importance of maintaining a continuous circuit for the Jehovah Witness patient population, as well as, their core beliefs supporting a refusal of blood products
- Knows proper documentation of all aspects of procedure relevant to Perfusion Services Department (paper forms and EPIC), as well as patient charges.
