Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation

  • This program increases pediatric clinicians’ comfort with assessing, diagnosing, and treating early childhood behavioral and mental health concerns. It is presented in a three-month case-based distance-learning program. Learners participate in a 2-hour seminar to learn the foundations of early childhood mental health assessment and treatment. The course is lead by child/adolescent psychiatry and psychology experts to learn how to support early childhood relational, social-emotional, and developmental challenges encountered in daily practice.

1.)Understanding common behavioral and mental health concerns in early childhood

2)Applying the SetUp model to assess and support early childhood behavioral and mental health concerns in primary care. Learn basic medical prescribing principles for young children.
