Empowering the Voice of Emerging Leaders
This course is grounded in the DiSC framework to help nurse leaders understand their own communication styles and how those styles influence interactions with others. Participants will learn practical strategies to adapt their communication to different team members, strengthening relationships, collaboration, and trust. Through self-reflection and application, nurse leaders will enhance their ability to lead teams effectively and foster a psychologically safe work environment.

Learning Objectives
Nurse leaders will be able to identify their personal DiSC communication style, describe its strengths and limitations in leadership interactions and apply DiSC-informed communication techniques to build trust, strengthen relationships, and enhance team performance.
In support of improving patient care, Duke University Health System Clinical Education and Professional Development is accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), to provide continuing education for the health care team.
