ForwardHRO/SAFE CHOICES 2.0 (LEADERSHIP)
Safe Choices is a class developed to empower staff to improve patient safety by understanding the importance of just culture/fair accountability and individual behavioral choices in their everyday work. The class also provides staff with tools to improve team communication, decrease the risk of medical errors and promote understanding of high reliability. This event will be offered to several DLP hospitals throughout the year. The first date will be on 1/28/26 at Wilson Medical Center; other dates, times and places to be determined.
This is a private course; this course is not taking additional attendees.

Learning Objectives
• The learner will be able to describe the difference between human error, at-risk and reckless behavior
• The learner will be able to describe an overview of how in a just culture behaviors are managed
• The learner will be able to discuss the principles of high reliability organizations
• The learner will be able to demonstrate use of at least two error prevention tools to improve communication and decrease likelihood of medical error
