Learning Objectives
• Evaluating competing evidence-based strategies for controversial decisions in orthopaedic trauma and arthroplasty, such as fixation versus replacement.
• Applying current approaches to musculoskeletal tumors, pediatric orthopaedic conditions, and metabolic bone health to recognize when to treat and when to refer.
• Analyzing evolving practice-management and regulatory factors — value-analysis committees, reimbursement, medicolegal risk, and practical uses of artificial intelligence — that affect the delivery of orthopaedic care.
• Employing recent resident and faculty research findings in clinical decision-making.
