Learning Objectives
At the end of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Understand the current state of knowledge about the long term outcomes associated with delirium and postoperative cognitive dysfunction
- Understand the relationship between these disorders and Alzheimer's disease
- Understand how these relationships can be further investigated and how anesthesia care can be optimized to minimize the risks of postoperative delirium and cognitive dysfunction
