For 15 years, New Developments in Oncology has offered a comprehensive view of advancements in treatments, techniques and technologies for
treating and managing cancer and blood diseases, as well as related symptoms. This year’s didactic program brings together the best regional and national oncology and hematology professionals for clinical discussions on progressive research, scientific experience and therapeutic triumphs.The audience will include Medical Oncologists, Surgical Oncologists, Radiation Oncologists, Pathologists, Internists, Internal Medicine Subspecialists, Family Practitioners, General Surgeons, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners and Nurses among other medical practitioners.

  • Keep a record of the ID/password.  If you register for CME credit you will need to complete the certification process using the Duke CME Portal.

Learning Objectives

• Understand new data regarding breast cancer screening and management
• Understand new data on the optimal management of late stage melanoma
• Identify which myeloproliferative neoplasm patients are appropriate for JAK inhibition therapy, hematopoietic stem cell transplantation or referred for experimental therapy
• Identify the role of B-cell receptor inhibitors in treatment of B-cell lymphoproliferative disorders
• Identify evidenced based options for systemic management of pancreatic cancer and examine new opportunities to improve survival in this disease
• Identify how mutation testing affects treatment choices for the management of lung cancer
