HOW TO SET UP YOUR PROFILE IN ETHOS (NEW USERS ONLY):

  • Before you can register for the webinar, you are required to set up your profile in EthosCE.  Click on the following link, http://continuingeducation.dcri.duke.edu/ then select Join in the upper right hand corner of the Home Page.  For further instructions please click on the following link to our quick reference card.
  • Once you have created a Profile, you will then receive an email from the system confirming you as a user.  Click on the link in the email to create your password.  Once you have created your password, you will then notice in the upper right hand corner of the page that you are now logged into your account.

HOW TO REGISTER/ENROLL IN A COURSE IN ETHOS:

  • Login to your account
  • In the upper right hand corner of the Ethos Home Page, type the name of the course, 17th Annual Cardiothoracic Update in the search bar
  • Click on the web link which will then direct you to the course landing page
  • Click on Take Course at the bottom of the page; you are now registered for the course
  • Upon completion of registration, a confirmation email will be sent providing webinar event details

  • Workshop A: Perfusion I: A comprehensive  discussion of current cardiopulmonary support devices with live demonstration. 
  • Workshop B: Critical Care Ultrasound: A unique hands on experience with various ultrasound modalities, including transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography simulation.

June 15, 2014 :  [1 pm - 5:30 pm]
 
The two workshops run simultaneoualy.
  • Workshop C: Airway and Thoracic: A refresher on issues surrounding thoracic surgery patients, with an opportunity for real time practice with lung isolation devices, percutaneous tracheostomy, and bronchoscopy. 
  • Workshop D: Pefusion II: A comprehensive  discussion of current cardiopulmonary support devices with live demonstration.

June 16, 2014 [1 pm - 3 pm] & [3:30 pm - 5:30 pm]
  • Workshop E: Regional I: Ultrasound Guidance for Truncal Blocks:This hands-on workshop will allow the participant to understand the role of ultrasound in regional anesthesia, and practice regional techniques under the supervision of experts in the field. 
  • Workshop F: Regional II: Ultrasound Gidance for Upper and Lower Extremities :This hands-on workshop will allow the participant to understand the role of ultrasound in regional anesthesia, and practice regional techniques under the supervision of experts in the field.
