18th Annual Duke Anesthesiology Conference - Controversies in Perioperative Medicine

The purpose of this activity is to improve knowledge of peroperative management of patients by applying best available evidence. To use simulation-based techniques to enhance technical skill in perioperative medicine and to develop new knowledge through thoughtful discussion of current controversies in perioperative medicine.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Describe evidence based management of perioperative issues in complex surgical patients.
  • Describe the value of imaging in perioperative medicine.
  • Review the current understanding of strategies to enhance post-surgical outcomes.
