12th International Symposium on Focal Therapy and imaging in Prostate & Kidney Cancer

February 9, 2020 to February 11, 2020

The International Symposium on Focal Therapy and Imaging in Prostate and Kidney Cancer is a joint initiative of the Departments of Urology of Duke, Durham N. Carolina and AMC, Amsterdam. The Symposium was initiated in 2008 and ever since it has been taking place each year, rotating between the United States and Amsterdam. The initiative has a purely educational focus aiming at addressing key issues and latest developments in the minimally invasive treatment (focal therapy) that destroys the known area(s) of cancer while preventing a man’s continence and potency. First class and forward thinking presentations by distinguished and pioneering Faculty are selected to serve the educational goals of the Symposium, with video sessions being an important component of the program. The Symposium is addressed to urologists, radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, pathologists, radiologists, researchers, biomedical engineers and anyone from the cancer community with an interest in prostate and kidney cancer. In the course of time, the Symposium has hosted key sessions by leading societies such as the EAU Section of Urotechnology (ESUT), the EAU Section of Urological Imaging (ESUI), the Endourological Society, the Société Internationale d’ Urologie (SIU), the Society of Urologic Oncology (SUO), the European Society for Radiotherapy & Oncology (ESTRO), the European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) and the EAU Section of Oncological Urology (ESOU). A joint approach by all involved groups of different disciplines is encouraged through the consensus meetings organized during the Symposium.
