15TH ANNUAL EMILY BEREND ADULT RECONSTRUCTION SYMPOSIUM A comprehensive hip and knee course (FREE for trainees) jointly provided by the Duke University HealthSystem Department of Clinical Education and Professional Development and Duke Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. This activity is designed for orthopaedic residents,Fellows in Adult Reconstruction, orthopaedic surgeons, primary-care and specialty care physicians, physician assistants, nurses, non-medical professionals, and allied health professionals. All targeted audience members can receive Joint Accreditation credits for this activity. No attendance certificates are issued for this course.

Learning Objectives

After the meeting, participants will be able to describe the latest advancements in hip and knee replacement techniques.

 By the end of the meeting, surgeons will demonstrate proficiency in using robotic-assisted surgical tools and other adjunctive technologies for joint replacements.

 Participants will analyze complex case studies to determine optimal surgical approaches for challenging hip and knee conditions.

 Surgeons will develop effective solutions for common complications in hip and knee replacement surgeries through interactive problem-solving sessions in the Case Presentation session.

 After the meeting, participants will implement a practice audit to assess the quality and efficiency of their hip and knee replacement procedures.

Surgeons will self-assess their current knowledge and identify specific areas for improvement in hip and knee replacement techniques.

Attendees will integrate the latest evidence-based practices into their surgical protocols for improved patient outcomes.

Surgeons will develop personalized continuous learning plans, outlining specific actions to stay updated on advancements in joint replacement surgery. This could include meetingslike the current offering.
