2019 Scotland Healthcare - Managing the Health of Your Patients with Cancer: Promoting Screening, Treatment Options and Adherence

This educational program is designed to promote multidisciplinary and interprofessional collaboration between oncology and primary care health care providers to promote optimal care of the patient with cancer. With a focus on breast, gynecologic and colon cancers, expert speakers will guide participants through updates in cancer screening, the role of genetic testing in the management of cancer, and the collaborative approach to managing cancer survivors.

Target Audience

This educational activity is designed for primary care providers, surgeons, radiologists, pharmacists, pharmacy techs, advanced clinical providers, nurses, and others who care for patients with cancer.

Learning Objectives

Identify the current multidisciplinary and evidence based management of common cancers throughout the cancer continuum.

Identify current screening guidelines for common cancers.

Discuss current staging guidelines for cancer.
