2020 Cardiovascular Symposium

the 2020 Cardiovascular Symposium will review guidelines, medical therapies and procedures that guide physicians, mid-level providers, pharmacists, nurses and healthcare professionals to care for patients in the community. The purpose is to increase knowledge of clinical practice standards and emerging evidence published by national society guidelines so that the healthcare professional provides evidence-based cardiovascular care. 

Target Audience

This program is designed to meet the continuing education (CE) needs of healthcare professionals, including physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, echosonographers, pharmacists and staff providing care to patients with cardiovascular disease.

Learning Objectives

Review and discuss treatment options to prevent stroke in patients with atrial fibrillation.

Review and discuss selection and timing of noninvasive testing (Calcium score, CTA, Stress testing).

Review and discuss options for medical therapy or coronary intervention and long term antiplatelet therapy in patients with stable angina.

Review and discuss treatment options for degenerative mitral and aortic valve disease.
