2023 ALICE PROGRAM

- ALICE program is a leadership development opportunity for mid-career women faculty in the School of Medicine. ALICE – Academic Leadership, Innovation, and Collaborative Engagement – provides in-depth opportunities for leadership skill development, personal reflection and goal setting, peer-mentoring, and structured 360 feedback. The program accepts up to 18 mid-career women faculty per year. Participants are chosen based on a competitive selection process and must be nominated by their chair or similar leadership official.

Learning Objectives
1|To advance professional development and leadership skills for mid-career and senior women faculty in the Duke School of Medicine.
2|To develop a cadre of women faculty who possess the expertise and self-awareness to excel in academic leadership.
3|To create a community of women in similar career stages with a similar vocabulary, who can provide each other with informed mentorship and advice.
4|To help prepare future applicants for ELAM (Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine Fellowship Program)
