2023 DUKE CTSI INTEGRATING SPECIAL POPULATIONS RESEARCH SYMPOSIUM

- The Duke CTSI Integrating Special Populations Research Symposium will be held on Thursday December 7, 2023. Our target audiences are early career investigators who have interest and/or currently engaging special populations within their clinical research. Our keynote speaker will be Cardiologist, Dr. Monique Starks who will present about "Technologies to Improve Care and Outcomes of OHCA”. We will also have a panelist of speakers who conduct community-based research. Panelist presentations will include Research Equity and Diversity Initiative (READI), Recruitment, Informed consent, and the Importance of 4 Values when working with the Latino community (confianza, calor humano, respeto, y humildad), and Examining the Effects of Racial and Socioeconomic Inequities on the Physical and Mental Health of Black Women.
