2024 DUH SPRING TRAUMA SYMPOSIUM

This symposium provides seven 1-hour presentations sponsored by Duke University Hospital Trauma Center at the Durham Hilton as a live event. The lecturers will present guidelines and evidence-based findings regarding the assessment, care, stabilization, and managed care of critically ill or injured trauma patients. Attendees will learn how to implement best practice guidelines in their trauma care practice and ultimately improve patient outcomes.

Learning Objectives
- By the end of the session, learners will compare the effectiveness on trauma care resuscitation with and without video review utilization.
- Differentiate the methods of trauma resuscitation in pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients by the end of the learning activity.
- Participant will understand the importance of pediatric resuscitation in trauma.
- Learners will describe prevention techniques and strategies to prevent injury while in the acute care setting.
