Forward2025 PPMD DUCHENNE HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS SUMMIT
PPMD hosts an annual Duchenne Healthcare Professionals Summit to convene clinicians, researchers, industry partners, and representatives from government health agencies to discuss the current field of Duchenne and Becker muscular dystrophy. PPMD coordinates a robust agenda to discuss relevant topics, disseminate new data and information, and encourage collaboration to discuss potential innovative approaches to treatment.

Learning Objectives
1|Reviewing the research, learnings, care advancements, and innovation in the dystrophinopathy field over the past several decades and the trajectory of continued evolution in the field.
2|Summarizing current knowledge and lessons learned from the implementation of a broad label of gene transfer therapy for individuals with Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
3|Reviewing current processes, team members, and administration logistics needed for a successful and safe administration of gene therapy
4|Understanding necessary cardiac surveillance needed to monitor, identify and treat any adverse cardiac events post-gene therapy administration
5|Presenting case studies on adverse events post-gene therapy, including diagnostic process, symptoms presented, strategies used to mitigate adverse events, and recommended monitoring and follow up trial outcomes
