9th Interdisciplinary Conference on Orthopedic Value Based Care

  • The overall purpose of the Interdisciplinary Conference on Orthopedic Value based care is to provide an overview of the orthopedic healthcare ecosystem within the context of “breaking the silos”. This conference is directed to physicians, nurses and healthcare executives. The conference holds plenary sessions as well as 3-parallell tracks, financial, operational and clinical. The speakers are divided between the specialties of Anesthesiology, Orthopedics, Nursing, Healthcare Executives, PM&R, and Physical therapy. In the 2025 event, the audience was divided as follows: 1/3 physicians, 1/3 nurses and 1/3 healthcare executives. Seats were assign to assure that the audience will be interactive and collaborative with other specialties. This conference does not intend to be “one more conference” but rather an attempt to disrupt the “silos” among medical providers and bring everyone together.

Learning Objectives

1. Identifying strategies for providers to adopt new approaches to achieve orthopedic perioperative care.

2. Identifying the components of successful PSH and ERAS models.

3. Establishing a care team of all stake-holders to build, administer, evaluate and continually improve perioperative care.

4. Identifying collaborative solutions to overcome existing barriers to coordinated perioperative orthopedic care.

5. Implementing strategies that are helpful in discharging patients same day

6. Discussing pros and cons of the current system practices. and use of data collection, analyses, and feedback.

7. Assessing and continuously evaluate the progress using metrics and provide feedback for necessary quality improvement.

8. Recognizing and evaluate the need for improving quality, safety, accountability and transparency in the US healthcare.
