This Cardiovascular Symposium planned for 2/23/18 will focus on cardiovascular topics to enhance knowledge of cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, mid-levels providers, pharmacists, nurses and other healthcare providers. The topics include treatment of mitral regurgitation, both percutaneous and minimally invasive surgical options, management of patient's undergoing high risk percutaneous coronary intervention and those with cardiogenic shock, treatment options for atrial 

Target Audience

primary care, cardiology and cardiothoracic physicians, advanced practice nurses, registered nurses, allied health professionals and pharmacists.
 

Audience will be internal healthcare providers employed or with privileges at LMC.

Learning Objectives

  • Review and discuss treatment options for mitral regurgitation (surgical versus percutaneous), cardiogenic shock and atrial fibrillation.
  • Review and discuss technical aspects of high risk coronary intervention for multi-vessel coronary artery disease.
  • Review anticoagulation therapies for acute coronary syndrome patients with atrial fibrillation.
