DESCRIPTION: 

The purpose of this activity is to present the state of the art knowledge and current methods of evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of endocrine and metabolic conditions affecting our patients. Specific topics will include: diabetic kidney disease, SIADH, hypertension, transgender care, technology, lipids, hypoparathyroidism, and NAFLD.Education is needed to address gaps in practical management of endocrine diseases and increase scientific knowledge. Most current diagnoses, therapies, and outcomes practices will be emphasized.The purpose of this activity is to present the state of the art knowledge and current methods of evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of endocrine and metabolic conditions affecting our patients. Specific topics will include: diabetes, bariatric surgery, metabolic bone disease, management of thyroid nodules and thyroid cancer, hyperparathyroidism, and pituitary tumors.

The purpose of this educational activity is to present the latest knowledge and methods of evaluation and treatment of endocrine and metabolic conditions affecting our patients. Through the topics discussed and the faculty involved we will aim to increase scientific knowledge and optimize practical management of endocrine diseases. Most current diagnosis, therapy and outcome practices will be emphasized. The target audience for the activity includes active practicing and academic endocrinologists, fellows, residents in training, medical students, physician assistants, and advanced practice providers.

Learning Objectives

Objectives At the conclusion of this educational activity participants should be able to:

1. It will address gaps in practical management of endocrine diseases and increase scientific knowledge. Most current diagnosis, therapy and outcomes practices will be emphasized. Key stakeholders have identified these topics are important to the endocrinology practice as it relates to endocrinology.

2. After attending this meeting participants should gain a comprehensive understanding of contemporary endocrine diseases including diabetes, metabolic bone disease, hyperparathyroidism, pituitary tumors, and thyroid nodule/thyroid cancer management.
