Current Issues for the Advanced Practice Provider 2019

The goal of this program its to provide the audience with the latest knowledge and interventions when treating the oncology patient, whether with a hematologic malignancy, solid tumor or dealing with the side effects of disease or therapy. A focus also will be on sharing skills to assist the providers in self care. Opportunity will be available for the audience to engage with Duke Cancer Institute practitioners.

Learning Objectives
At the completion of this activity the learners should be able to:
- Discuss the management and varied treatment strategies used for patients with the malignant diseases of breast cancer, melanoma, brain tumors, gynecologic cancers and acute myeloid leukemia
- Identify the best practices for survivorship and the resources available
- Define and identify burnout, and the resilience tools used make changes toward restoration
