The field of informatics is a growing field with increasing emphasis on advanced training for people. Biomedical informatics is the interdisciplinary scientific field that studies and pursues the effective uses of biomedical data, information and knowledge for scientific inquiry, problem solving, and decision making, motivated by efforts to improve human health. Six topics have been chosen by leadership that encompass the skill set they want their staff to have. One is about data collection and data sharing.

  2. Describe the difference between adopting vs adapting data standards
  3. Identify the purpose of data standards
  4. Discuss aspects of mobile devices.
