There has been a dramatic increase in new technologies for infection prevention and antimicrobial stewardship. Many antimicrobial stewardship and infection prevention personnel lack time and expertise to assess these new technologies, and need additional education to help support decision making about the tools and which of them might be appropriate for use in their institution.
