This is the 21st Annual Retreat of the Duke Cancer Network.  This event will bring together clinicians who work across the continuum of care for a day of team building and education.

Target Audience

Nurses, pharmacists, physicians, advanced practice providers and all those who care for oncology patients in the Duke Cancer Network

Learning Objectives

•Discuss Evidence based strategies to manage patients with cancer and manage the stresses of working in oncology care

•Discuss the indications and adverse effects profile of two targeted oral oncolytic agents approved in 2017

•Discuss strategies to safely manage patients requiring opioid interventions

•Review strategies for practicing teamwork and communication in stressful care environments

•Discuss new guidelines for safe administration and management of chemotherapy
