Duke Neurosurgery Brain Aneurysm Symposium
The first Duke Brain Aneurysm Symposium emphasizes education on the successful treatment of patients who have a ruptured brain aneurysm. This traumatic event requires a large team of health care providers. The emphasis of this Symposium is to convene every medical professional caring for these patients with emphasis on learning with, from, and about each other. Of note, we consider the patient and their family to be an essential part of this team and they will be incorporated into the meeting. This interprofessional offering will present the optimum evidence based strategies for caring for this patient population from multiple professional lenses. The objective is for all attendees to grasp critical understanding of care transitions in this patient population and how each transition affects the entire patient and caregiver experience.
