EBUS and Navigation Bronchoscopy Course

This course is designed for pulmonologists, thoracic surgeons, and allied health professionals who are interested in enhancing their knowledge about lung cancer staging and more effectively utilizing existing tools and new technologies, particularly endobronchial ultrasound, in their care of lung cancer patients. The lectures and interactive didactic sessions will cover a range of topics including Transbronchial Needle Aspiration, Endoscopic Ultrasound, bronchoscopic and Navigation Bronchoscopy and staging of lung cancer.

Target Audience

Pulmonologists, thoracic surgeons, trainees in pulmonary, critical care medicine, and thoracic surgery, and allied health professionals.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Discuss current guidelines for lung cancer staging
  2. Learn mediastinal anatomy and relationships between lymph nodes and vascular structure
  3. Describe the technique of Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS) and Navigation Bronchoscopy.
