In support of improving patient care, Duke University Health System Clinical Education and Professional Development is accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), to provide continuing education for the health care team. The designation was based upon the quality of the educational activity and its compliance with the standards and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).

Program Description: The Milk & Cookies Breastfeeding Grand Rounds project seeks to address a well-documented and growing gap in comprehensive breastfeeding education, interdisciplinary collaboration, and systematic utilization of community-based resources to support healthy breastfeeding dyads. Although breastfeeding is recognized as a critical public health priority, provider training across specialties remains highly variable. Many clinicians lack structured opportunities to engage with emerging research, complex lactation management strategies, and community resources that facilitate sustained breastfeeding success. These deficiencies contribute to fragmented care and may undermine the breastfeeding experience for families.
