How to Facilitate Difficult Conversations
This course addresses the difficult conversations that routinely arise with end of life care. Participants will practice identifying the emotions that are present with difficult conversation topics, and then learn and practice responding to the underlying emotions with empathetic responses.

Naming several kinds of empathic responses that can be used to respond to emotion and practice their use.
Recognizing the value of asking permission before sharing cognitive information; practice the use of this skill.
