Safe Choices is a class developed to empower staff to improve patient safety by understanding the importance of just culture/fair accountability and individual behavioral choices in their everyday work. In order to develop a sustainable ongoing program, specific Duke LifePoint staff will be identified to become Safe Choices instructors and taught how to teach the class.  

This is a private course; this course is not taking additional attendees.

Learning Objectives

• The learner will be able to describe basic principles of adult learning

• The learner will be able to timely present the Safe Choices materials using teaching notes

• The learner will be able to describe how to prep, set-up and the follow-up needed for each Safe Choices class
