Overview

  • These comprehensive faculty/clinical instructor development workshops are designed to equip nursing educators with the knowledge, skills, and strategies necessary to excel in their roles as educators. These workshops will focus on fostering a culture of teaching excellence and innovation within our school of nursing.

Learning Objectives

  1. Understanding the Growth Mindset Concept Instructors will be able to define growth mindset and explain its importance in the context of nursing education.
  2. Recognizing Fixed vs. Growth Mindset Instructors will identify characteristics of both fixed and growth mindsets in themselves and their students, fostering self-awareness.
  3. Implementing Growth Mindset Strategies Instructors will learn and apply specific teaching strategies that encourage a growth mindset in students, such as constructive feedback and promoting resilience.
  4. Defining an inclusive learning environment
  5. Identifying barriers to inclusive teaching
  6. Discussing teaching strategies for an inclusive learning environment
