Target Audience

  • Nurses
  • Physicians

Learning Objectives

  • To understand how a Just Culture/Fair Accountability is a safety-supportive system ofshared accountability.
  • To learn the basic duties owed to patients and clients.
  • To understand human error, at-risk behavior and reckless behavior.
  • To provide physician leaders guidance on how to evaluate behavior that is inconsistent with organizational values and policies.
  • To understand how to apply the Just Culture/Fair Accountability algorithm in an adverse event investigation/peer review context.
