Over eight decades of experience in caring for patients with urologic diseases has established Duke's Division of Urologic Surgery as a world leader in urologic care, research and education. In partnership with our colleagues in the Duke Cancer Institute, the LEADING EDGE UROLOGY: Duke Urologic Assembly has expanded to include the Duke Urologic Cancer Symposium. This expanded educational conference features lectures by Duke and guest urologists, medical and radiation oncologists. We have assembled an outstanding roster of national experts, participating in a comprehensive scientific program that provides cutting edge updates on the most effective and efficient diagnostic and treatment options in the sub-specialties of urology.

Learning Objectives
- Provide up to date, evidence-based information and resources for the treatment of urologic conditions to the healthcare provider/team specializing in and treating urologic conditions and diseases.
- Apply effective and effective and efficient diagnosis and treatments in the sub-specialties of urology and urologic oncology
- Analyze new technologies and therapies to provide the utmost, least invasive care to patients
- Evaluate and outline management options for the various urologic conditions
- Choose appropriate patients for minimally invasive surgical approaches to the management of BPH
- Distinguish various surgical approaches and compare their effectiveness and safety profiles
- Apply the knowledge gained to better diagnose, triage, and manage patients in various stages of prostate cancer diagnosis
- Choose appropriate patients for nephron-sparing surgical interventions.
- Identify the currently available biomarkers, the pros and cons of each, as well as, where in the schema they each are optimally utilized

At more than 530 square feet with mini kitchens and private balconies, the Studio Suites are the largest, newest and most comfortable resort accommodations on the island. Please note these dates are during a high demand time. The cut-off date for accepting reservations into this discounted room block is Monday, February 26, 2018 or until the room block is full. Afterward, reservations will be subject to availability and prevailing room rates.
CANCELLATION POLICY
A $50 cancellation fee will apply for cancellations received in writing more than 14 days prior to the start of the course. There will be no refunds if canceling within 14 days of the start of the course.
