Target Audience
Nurses
Learning Objectives
Utilize mentorship partnerships to monitor and evaluate student competency acquisition and plans for additional resources to support CIs and assist in improvement. Creating depth in partnerships will improve channels of communication between CI and Faculty and promote sharing of ideas allowing for strategic curriculum planning and goal setting in the nursing program. Promoting collaboration between teaching faculty and CI’s in planning for and structuring clinical experiences that incorporate the didactic learning that is simultaneously taking place in the classroom will create a stronger nurse, decreasing burnout and contribute to the current and growing nursing shortage. We will work with established CIs to assist in bridging the gap and assist in mentorship development to best suit the needs of CIs.
