MMCi 539 – Clinical Informatics Strategy (2017)

February 24, 2017 to May 6, 2017

The country has invested billions of dollars in health information technology, yet we have failed to achieve the cost or quality goals we had envisioned that would result.  This course is designed to understand how we can address this issue: what frameworks can be implemented to use information technology to improve healthcare delivery, improve provider productivity and performance, and to achieve better outcomes for our patients.

Learn fundamental models of technology development and application to health care cost and quality outcomes.
Perform analysis of specific didactic cases to highlight essential lessons in ensuring an impact of health information technology on health care costs and outcomes.
Develop with a team a unique health care application for health information technology
