  • MOCA is part of a lifelong learning and self-assessment of anesthesiologist clinical acumenbased on high-fi delity simulation. We are part of the Simulation Education Network andhave endorsement through the American Society of Anesthesiology to provide training thatpromotes learning through simulation and offers opportunity for quality improvement forindividuals and their practice. Objectives that are specifi cally addressed include: 1)management of signifi cant hemodynamic instability 2) management of signifi canthypoxemia from any cause, including diffi cult airway management 3) principles and practiceof teamwork and communication. The 2022 MOCA Part IV Course dates are: SaturdayJanuary 28, Friday March 24, Saturday November 18, and Friday December 8.

  • Allied Health Professionals

Learning Objectives

Discuss key points in the management of common and uncommon anesthesia emergencies(ie. severe hypotension or hypoxemia, diffi cult airway). Demonstrate teamwork andcommunication skills to enhance patient safety in a simulated environment. Identify 3process improvement projects that can be implemented in their place of work.
