Navigating Pediatric Billing and Coding: Inpatient and Outpatient Essentials

A one hour billing webinar hosted by the American Academy of Pediatrics Section on Hospital Medicine Med-Peds Subcommittee that has three learning objectives: (1) Understand the basics of CPT codes and an ICD-10 diagnosis code and what you should expect out of it as relates to pediatric care; (2) Develop an understanding of HCC and the importance of its use in case mix index, health system metrics, and reimbursement; and (3) Discuss both individual and system level changes that can simplify billing and coding to maximize physician satisfaction and health system reimbursement. All speakers are board certified in pediatrics and panelists have expertise in billing in inpatient and outpatient settings.
