NC DERMATOLOGY ASSOCIATION 2023 ANNUAL MEETING
January 20, 2023 to January 22, 2023
- The Annual Meeting will feature outstanding faculty who will address current topics of interest to the practicing dermatologist. This educational event provides for continuing professional development with the goal of improving patient care outcomes.Medical practitioners work to stay updated on new findings and research so as to most effectively practice medicine in an evidence-based manner. The goal of the North Carolina Dermatology Association (NCDA) meeting is to keep its attendees up to date on new developments and research so that attendees can incorporate what they have learned into clinical practice. Two NCDA meetings are held per year. Attendees are surveyed at the conclusion of each meeting to obtain their knowledge gaps and needs. Peer-reviewed medical journals used most frequently in presentations include the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, JAMA Dermatology, Dermatologic Surgery, Journal of Investigative Dermatology and Contact Dermatitis. In addition to relevant clinical lectures, there will be a legislative update provided that pertains to the practice of medicine in North Carolina and the latest updates in billing and coding.

- Review the current literature regarding general dermatology, dermatologic surgery, and cutaneous oncology -Understand current and new therapies in atopic dermatitis
- Review dermatologic cases that may present as a hospital consult
- Understand new coding and billing updates
- Develop a plan for an ideal practice that integrates into your life to craft the career you desire
- Discuss and implement mindset changes, goal setting, and boundaries that can improve well-being and work-life satisfaction
- Understand legislative updates and issues that can impact dermatologists in North Carolina
