NC Dermatology Association 2026 Summer Meeting

  • The 2026 North Carolina Dermatology Association Annual Meeting is designed to provide dermatologists with the most relevant, evidence-based knowledge that can be directly applied to their clinical practice. This comprehensive educational event will cover a wide range of topics in medical, pediatric, and procedural dermatology, alongside essential updates on financial, administrative and legislative issues impacting the field. Special attention will be given to new treatments and underrecognized diseases, ensuring that attendees are equipped to diagnose and manage these complex conditions. Our goal is to enhance the competence of dermatologists in North Carolina, enabling them to deliver the highest standard of care to their patients.

Learning Objectives

1. Reviewing recent advances in the diagnosis and management of cutaneous malignancies.

2. Identifying high-yield surgical techniques that improve efficiency and outcomes in dermatologic surgery.

3. Identifying when antihistamines are unlikely to work- and what to use instead. 4. Diagnose delusions of parasitosis and evaluate for common mimickers.

4. Reviewing oral soft tissue lesions, presentation and treatment

5. Reviewing of dentistry for physicians and the role of the oral and maxillofacial surgeon

6. Describing the neurobiologic effects of chronic stress and burnout on key brain regions, including. the prefrontal cortex, amygdala, and hippocampus.
