NC NEUROLOGICAL SOCIETY 2024 ANNUAL MEETING

- The purpose of the NC Neurological Society Meeting is to provide high-yield clinically relevant updates on major topics in the practice of neurology to practitioners in the state of North Carolina (and externally) including physicians, advanced practice providers, and trainees. At the end of the conference, attendees should have gained new knowledge, acquired new approaches to delivering neurological care, identified new colleagues, and increased their competence and confidence for managing clinically relevant condition in neurological practice.

Learning Objectives
1. Improve recognition of autoimmune encephalitis (AE) and increase ability to delineate specific AE syndromes and appropriately manage these patients.
2. Enhance appropriate use and interpretation of advanced imaging and ancillary testing in the diagnosis and management of neurologic disorders.
3. Improve understanding of how palliative care can be used in the management of neurologic patients in order to improve quality of life for our patients
4. Increase the neurologist’s ability to recognize and understand personality disorders and this impacts care of neurological patients
5. Discuss advances within the fields of cerebrovascular disease, epilepsy, neuromuscular disorders and multiple sclerosis
