NURSING JOURNAL CLUB - DUHS NURSING RESEARCH AND EBP: 2023 (August)

August 23, 2023

Creating a nursing journal club supported by DUHS Nursing Research and EBP Council is toprovide an avenue for nurses and their peers to critique clinical and research articles. Using a forum/meeting as the setting to reach the nursing audience will allow nurses to maintain consistency in the activity. Each nurse should contribute their knowledge on clinically relevant topics and developments in their specialty and synthesize the relevant scientific literature as evidence-based and peer-reviewed. By contributing in this manner, nurses should be encouraged to engage in formal and informal conversations regarding learned material. The value of having nurses contribute to journal reviews enables support of EBP,promotes translation of research into practice, and system-wide changes in practice.
